Yes. In addition to Faro International Airport, vehicles may also be delivered to hotels, resorts or other locations throughout the Algarve, upon request and subject to availability. A small surcharge may apply.
At Faro Airport, our staff member will be waiting in the Arrivals Hall holding a sign with your name.
Pick-up: Car Park P2, outside Arrivals.

The minimum age to rent a car with Auto Season in Portugal is 21 years old. Drivers must hold a valid full driving licence for at least 1 year.
No young driver fee applies; however, the insurance excess may vary according to age and vehicle group.
You must present a valid driving licence, passport or national identity card, and a valid credit card with an expiry date later than the rental return date.
An International Driving Permit (IDP) is required if the renter’s national driving licence is not in Roman alphabet, for example Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese.
The International Driving Permit must be accompanied by the driver’s original domestic driving licence.
Super CDW is available as an optional extra and reduces the excess amount applicable in case of vehicle damage, depending on the vehicle group.
Super CDW does not cover personal accident insurance, windscreen damage, lights, tyres, incorrect fuel usage or personal belongings.
Auto Season’s standard car hire insurance includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection and breakdown assistance, excluding flat tyres.
CDW includes Loss Damage Waiver with an excess amount depending on the vehicle group.
You are only allowed to drive in Spain if you select Spain Cross-Border Insurance in the booking form. Driving to countries other than Portugal and Spain is not allowed.
To confirm a reservation, full flight details, including flight number and arrival time, are required when applicable.
Reservations should be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival in Portugal in order to guarantee booking confirmation.
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, €25.00 will be charged per missing ¼ tank. No refunds are given for unused fuel remaining in the vehicle upon return.
We accept cash in euros and major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and American Express.
Cheques are not accepted.
No security deposit will be blocked on your credit card upon arrival.
However, valid credit card details are required for security purposes and to cover any additional charges, including missing fuel, tolls, parking charges, vehicle damage, specialised cleaning or additional rental days.
No. All Auto Season vehicles are equipped with an official Via Verde transponder, which automatically records motorway tolls and participating car park usage.
Any tolls or Via Verde car park charges used during the rental period will be billed to your credit card after the rental. There are no additional fees for use of the transponder itself.
Additional charges may apply for the airport service fee, Spain Cross-Border Insurance, different pick-up or drop-off locations, child seats, excessive dirt requiring specialised cleaning, missing fuel, tolls, parking charges or additional rental days.
Free cancellation is available prior to vehicle collection.
Yes. Vehicles must be returned in a clean and acceptable condition.
If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty, including sand, mud, pet hair, strong odours or rubbish, a specialised cleaning fee may apply.
Yes, pets are allowed. However, vehicles must be returned clean, odour-free and without pet hair to avoid cleaning charges.
No. Roof racks are not available.
Yes. When choosing your rental vehicle, select the automatic option.
If you wish to change any details of your online booking, please send us an email with your booking ID and the changes required.
Yes. You can choose them as extras in the booking form, where their prices are shown, or you can request them at the counter.
Yes. Additional drivers are included in the rental price, according to the Terms & Conditions.
Yes. A 3-hour grace period applies to vehicle returns.
If the vehicle is returned more than 3 hours after the agreed return time, an additional rental day will be charged.
